Chinese jade carved dog pendant pearl necklace

This unique Asian pendant necklace will set you apart from everyone else. Focal piece is a 45x25mm carved jade pendant which I haggled for at the outdoor market in Beijing. The image is of a Chinese dog with cloud forms overhead. It's quite charming and unusual.

17 1/2 inches (45cm) in length necklace of large 5x7-8mm button shaped white freshwater pearls which have been hand-knotted by me between each pearl on a double strand of white silk thread. I have covered the silk thread where it attaches to the clasp with tiny coils of french wire for added durability. Clasp is a sterling silver "S" shaped clasp.

I picked up these pearls at the famous pearl market in Beijing and they have great luster. The button shape gives them a wonderfully full look when worn.  I'm very tempted to keep this one for myself!
