A mixture of dark green, aqua green and olive green satin cords make up this handmade kumihimo (Japanese braiding technique) bracelet. I have made special matching coiled wire end caps and attached a large gold plated lobster claw clasp.
The greens in this piece are reminiscent of motifs in fantasy fiction such as dragon scales or elfin jewelry.
This one of a kind bracelet is a small size and is approximately 7 1/2 inches (19cm) in length. End caps are glued into place and also anchored by bending the end of the coil into the cord for added durability. This piece is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear.
