I found this lovely picture jasper gemstone clasp from at a store in the pearl market in Beijing. Picture jasper always reminds me of prehistoric cave paintings like those found in France. I have made this one into a triple strand necklace set.
Strand 1: 5mm picture jasper beads hand-knotted between each on strong bead cord.
Strand 2: 5-6mm "Mountain Jade" in a rose color which complements the other colors in this set so well. Mountain Jade is really dolomite marble which has been dyed and has a slightly marbled or flecked surface which adds richness. Hand-knotted between each bead on strong bead cord.
Strand 3: 4mm transparent smokey quartz hand-knotted between sets of five beads on strong bead cord.
Each strand has been covered where it attaches at the clasp with tiny coils of French wire for added durability. Strands are 18 inches (46cm) in length and when twisted and with the clasp added this makes a 18 inch (46cm) necklace.
Clasp can be worn in the back or front.
Earrings are included and are triple drop on 925 sterling silver hand-crafted hook ear wires. Earrings hang down approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) past the end of the ear wires.
