Sky blue gold silver glass leaf kumihimo braided necklace

Sky blue and gold lampwork glass leaf pendant has silver foil embedded in it and is wire wrapped by me in tarnish resistant gold plated wire and beautifully set off with a custom handmade kumihimo (Japanese braiding technique) cord. I have made special matching coiled wire end caps and attached a gold plated swivel lobster claw clasp.

This one of a kind necklace is approximately 21 inches (53.5cm) in length.  Pendant section is approximately 2 1/2 inches long (6cm).  The leaf pendant is 1 1/4 inches (3cm) wide. End caps are glued into place and also anchored by bending the end of the coil into the cord for added durability.

Kumihimo cord is braided with baby blue, light golden brown and antiqued gold satin cords in a barber pole pattern. The width of the braiding and smoothness of the satin make this comfortable to wear all day long.
